The 19-year-old from Dallas and his high school friend, Lance Cpl. Christopher J. Gonzalez, who's also 19-years-old, are both in Ar Ramadi, Iraq supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom with Camp Pendleton, Calif., based 1st Battalion, 5th Marines. Gonzalez is a food service specialist with Headquarters and Service Company.
