Description The E-Series came to life in 1961 and the fourth generation model you see here showed up in 1991. After a good long run on the market, Ford finally decided to largely pull the plug on this van in 2014 and replace it with a global version of the Ford Transit (which, previously, had only been sold outside of North America). Ford still makes stripped-chassis and cutaway E-Series variants, however, so the model does survive in a limited capacity.
