Description
English: A U.S. Navy River Patrol Boat (PBR) cruises in an inlet in the southern tip of South Vietnam in search of craft carrying personnel and supplies to the Vietcong, 22 June 1966. Sixty-five of these fiberglass boats, powered and guided by twin jets of water, recently joined patrol operations. Each PBR, with a crew of four, has twin .50 caliber machine guns forward and a single machine gun aft and can patrol at 25 knots far into the inlets and coves of South Vietnam.
