English: U.S. Navy Machinist Mate 3rd Class Aaron Nutt tends to a dolphin aboard a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft assigned to the 535th Airlift Squadron, 15th Airlift Wing while en route to Nouméa, New Caledonia, Nov. 8, 2009. Nutt, who is assigned as a dolphin handler to the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program, is travelling to Nouméa with the dolphin to participate in Lagoon MINEX 2009, a humanitarian project in which U.S., French, Australian and New Zealand military personnel remove mines left over from World War II. |
