Description Lot 5967-5: Coast Guard Icebreakers and Navy Task Group in Arctic Mission. An iceberg of tremendous size on its way through Baffin Bay makes a frosty frame for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eastwind (WAGB-279) seen through a natural arch in the berg. Hundreds of such icy giants were encountered by the Navy Task Group which successfully completed assigned missions in the Arctic region. Official U.S. Coast Guard Photograph, release September 1952.
