Summary[edit]

  • Two generations of Nikon cameras: Digital Nikon D50 of 2005- and Nikon F of 1959-1971 (this one has a serial number of 1969). The lens is an AF Nikkor 50 mm 1:1,4 which can be used on both cameras as a high-performance standard lens. Naturally, there's no autofocus on the fully mechanical F (actually, this one doesn't even have an exposure meter and works without batteries) - and the aperture ring on the lens has no meaning for the fully-automatic D50, where the lens can be used as a 75mm-equivalent for e.g. portraits.

  • Photographed with Sony DSC-R1, 10 Mp, ISO 200, 14 mm (24 mm equiv. in 35 mm), f 1:16, 0,77 sec, A-mode, no flash, just daylight through the windows on a March afternoon. No settings on other parameters of the standard A-mode and not manipulated afterwards, except for turning it 2° to the right.
