| Description |
English: Tunnel on the dismantled Waverley Line A section of the former Waverley Railway Line between two dismantled bridges, with a 63m long tunnel. The line was closed in 1969. The tunnel is due to reopen as part of the Waverley line scheme. Transport Minister Stewart Stevenson announced on 6th January 2009, the 40th anniversary of the line's last passenger train, that the starting date for the Waverley rail link between Edinburgh and the central Borders will begin in 2010 with an expected completion date of 2013. |
