| Description |
English: A tsuba, the guard of a Japanese sabre, representing on one side a daytime scene with a plum tree under the Sun and a cloudy sky, and on the other side a hare running along the sea under the moonlight.
- The plate is made of iron; the trunk and the clouds of copper alloy; the blossoms, the waves and the Moon of silver. - Some elements were made of gold but only parts remain : the Sun, secondary clouds, some blossoms, the hare, etc. - The background of both sides was covered of black lacquer, from which some remains are visible. - This tsuba might have been mounted on a blade, as two pieces of copper are adapted in the central hole. - The little circular hole at the bottom was made latter. - School ? - Era ? - With a kogai ana (the lateral hole) - Not signed - Dimensions : 77 x 73.5 x 3.5 mm Français :
