Nederlands: Negatief. Twee jonge meisjes, 'kwei uman', met baby’s op hun zij. Naast hen staan twee jongetjes naast elkaar. De twee meisjes dragen een Kwei, een doekje dat hun geslachtsdeel bedekt. Het dragen van een Kwei geeft aan dat de meisjes nog niet volwassen zijn. Tussen hun 15e en 18e jaar werden meisjes feestelijk geïnitieerd tot volwassen vrouw. De meisjes zelf vonden de initiatie nooit leuk omdat ze vanaf het moment van initiatie moesten voldoen aan de eisen die aan een volwassen vrouw werden gesteld. Tevens moesten ze zich gedragen als een volwassen vrouw: wat inhield: zelf koken, hun kostgrondjes bewerken, zelfstandig gaan wonen en je niet meer afhankelijk opstellen van je ouders.
Het dorp Malobbi was groot maar is tegenwoordig bijna verlaten, de meeste bewoners zijn naar Frans Guyana getrokken.. Groepsportret met Aukaner Marron kinderen in Manlobbi English: Negative. Two young girls, "Kwei uman ', with babies on their sides. Next to them are two boys together. The two girls wear Kwei, a cloth that covered their genitals. Wearing a Kwei indicates that the girls are not yet mature. Between their 15th and 18th years were girls festively initiated into adult woman.
