Deutsch: Abgebildet ist eine Deësis mit Christus zwischen ihm sich zuwendenden Maria und Johannes zu seinen Seiten. Über dem Thron sind zwei Engelsbüsten in Tondi. Die Mitteltafel wird durch drei Dekorbänder aus Palmetten im Wechsel mit einem floralen Motiv gegliedert. Das obere Schmuckband ist mit drei Medaillons mit kleinen Büsten unterteilt. In der Mitte ist der Prophet Elias, links der Prophet Jeremias und rechts der Prophet Isaias abgebildet. Unter der Deësis stehen fünf Apostel: In der Mitte Petrus, zu seinen Seiten Paulus und Andreas (links), und Johannes der Evangelist und Jakobus (rechts).
Français : Déisis et saints. La partie centrale, sculptée en très fort relief, offre deux registres superposés, séparés par un bandeau à décor de palmettes et de fleurons alternés. Au registre supérieur, le Christ trône entre la Vierge et saint Jean-Baptiste, tous deux debout de chaque côté, et tournés vers lui pour former la traditionnelle Déisis, la prière d'intercession pour l'Humanité. Au dessus du trône, deux anges en buste s'inscrivent dans des couronnes végétales rehaussées d'étoiles. Ils sont anonymes à la différence de tous les autres personnages du triptyque, identifiés par les inscriptions gravées. En dessous de la Déisis prennent place cinq apôtres : Pierre au centre, Paul et André à sa gauche, et, à sa droite Jean Evangeliste et Jacques. Deux bandeaux enferment la partie centrale. Sur celui du haut, trois petits médaillons contiennent chacun un buste : il s'agit de trois prophètes, Elie, placé au-dessus du Christ, Jéremie, à gauche, et Isaïe, à droite. Les volets se divisent en trois registres : des saints en pied, aux registres supérieur et inférieur, et des saints en buste, inscrits dans des médaillons, au registre médian. Deisis and saints. |
