Omschrijving: Allegorische titelpagina met Vrede (Pax), Overvloed (Abundantia) en Urbaniteit die de Schilderkunst naar de personificatie van Rome dragen. Onwetendheid (Ignorantia), Afgunst (Invidia) en Bijgeloof (Idolatria) proberen hen tegen te houden. Rechts op de voorgrond Mnemosyne, de godin van het geheugen, die teksten uit de handen van Vader Tijd trekt. In de lucht op een wolk Eeuwigheid met een lauwerkrans in de hand. Op de achtergrond een gezicht op Rome. In de marge een negenregelig onderschrift in het Frans.
