Description
English: Tremont Street bridge over Boston & Albany Railroad tracks in June 1898 during construction of South Station. A small B&A yard, separate from the larger coach yards to the west, is visible under the bridge.
Information from Boston Athenaeum: Part of a collection of cyanotype photographs documenting the buildings and tracks of the Boston and Albany Railroad Company in Boston, Mass. in June 1898 before alterations caused by the construction of South Station. The photographer, Charles S. Harrington, was employed as a bookkeeper for the Boston and Albany Railroad Company. He also exhibited work at the Boston Art Club.
