Русский: Эта работа - трактат о конструкции и использовании весов ("кабан", или "капан"). Эта работа представляет собой свод знаний по геометрии, механике и арифметике, необходимых для создания и использования измерительных приборов для взвешивания тяжелых предметов и предметов неправильной формы. Имя автора неизвестно, однако в трактате присутствуют выдержки из работы к тому времени уже умершего Шейха Абд аль-Маджид аль-Махалли. На последней странице рукописи содержатся стихи, которые в легко запоминающейся форме описывают основные принципы использования весов. Стихотворные мнемонические пособия часто использовались в обучении ремеслам.

Il rassemble les connaissances géométriques, mécaniques et arithmétiques nécessaires à la construction et l'utilisation de dispositifs pour peser des objets lourds et aux formes irrégulières. On ne connaît pas le nom de son auteur, mais des extraits d'un autre ouvrage par un cheikh à l'époque défunt, ‘Abd al-Majīd al-Shāmulī al-Maḥallī, sont cités dans le traité. La dernière page du manuscrit contient des vers décrivant les principes de base de l'utilisation d'une balance, sous une forme facile à retenir. Le recours à des aides mnémotechniques en vers était commun dans l'enseignement de divers métiers.
Manuscrits arabes; Balances; Poids English: This work is a treatise on the construction and use of the weighing balance (qabān, also qapān). It brings together geometric, mechanical, and arithmetic knowledge needed to construct and utilize measuring devices for weighing heavy and irregularly-shaped objects. The author’s name is unknown, but excerpts from another work by an already-deceased Shaykh ‘Abd al-Majīd al-Shāmulī al-Maḥallī are quoted in the treatise. The last page of the manuscript contains a sheet of verses that describe the basics of using a weighing balance, in a form that is easy to remember. The use of versified mnemonic aids was common in the teaching of various crafts.

Se desconoce el nombre del autor, pero en el tratado se citan extractos de otra obra de un ya fallecido Shaykh'Abd al-Majid al-Shāmulī al-Mahalli. La última página del manuscrito contiene una hoja de versos que describen los conceptos básicos para utilizar una balanza de peso, en una forma fácil de recordar. El uso de las ayudas nemotécnicas en verso era común en la enseñanza de diversos oficios.
