The Canyon and White Horse Rapids Tramway Company was used for portaging around the Whitehorse Rapids on the Yukon River. Shows piles of goods on shore and unidentified steamboat in background.

[Meed journal: "Miles Canyon Landing. Upper end of White Horse and Miles Canyon tramway [sic]. Goods were unloaded here from Lake Bennett steamboats and then conveyed over the horse drawn log-tramway around the Canyon and the White Horse Rapids. From there on they were taken down the Yukon by other steamboats. The scow or barge to the right was used to transport animals."].
