Summary[edit]

Description

Arriva Trains Wales' 150258 arrives at Abergavenny with the 1W66 1310 Milford Haven to Manchester Piccadilly service on 24th October 2016.

Long distance services between south Wales and Manchester are normally in the hands of Class 175 DMUs, so I presume that the use of the 150 unit was due to a shortage of units or another operational reason.

Despite the rain and mist it was fascinating to watch the traditional railway scene at Abergavenny, with its signal box and semaphore signals.
