Source Rembert Dodoens, 1554. Cruÿdeboeck. Antwerpen, van der Loe. (1st edition).
Author 515 drawings are borrowed from Leonhart Fuchs, New-Kreuterbüchlein (1543). The illustrators were Albrecht Meyer and Heinrich Füllmaurer, and the wood engraver was Rudolf Speckle. 200 new drawings were drawn by Pieter van der Borcht, and engraved by Antoon Bosch.

Extracted from high resolution images on line at Leesmaar of the first edition (1554) of the 'Cruÿdeboeck of Rembert Dodoens. The source is the book held at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, which was hand-coloured by Hans Liefrinck (1520-1573). Image cleaned by Michel Chauvet.
