Description
English: Mezzotint of Prince Augustus Ferdinand of Prussia. Whole length with tied wig, plain tie, sash, braided jacket, and mantle, and wearing the Order of Saint John around neck. The Prince is pictured standing, with right hand on belt, and left holding a plumed hat. With coat of arms and French inscription below. This portrait depicts Prince August Ferdinand in his robes of the Orders of The Bailiwick of Brandenburg of the Chivalric Order of Saint John of the Hospital at Jerusalem, an order of Knights of which he was elected as Master in 1763, a post he held until 1812.
