Summary[edit]

Description A single- car Toronto tram (streetcar) runs on a rain soaked King's St. in Toronto's CBD. Toronto’s streetcars provide most of the downtown core’s surface transit service. Four of the TTC's five most heavily used surface routes are streetcar routes. In 2013, ridership on the streetcar system totalled more than 100 million. There are underground streetcar connections at several points, but at eight downtown stations, barring Union, streetcars stop on the street opposite the station premises. (Toronto, Canada, Nov.2015)
