| Description |
Deutsch: Das Torhaus war früher der Zugang zur Mirower Schlossinsel. Es ist der älteste, noch erhaltene Profanbau auf der Schlossinsel. Dieser Torbau war Teil eines Befestigungssystems, das im 16. Jahrhundert die Schlossinsel umgab. Reste der Wallanlagen, die hinter einem Wassergraben liegen und die Schlossinsel umgeben, sind noch vorhanden. Das Gebäude wurde im Jahr 1588 im Baustil der Renaissance errichtet und von 1995 bis 1996 saniert. Stadtseitig ziert das Torhaus ein Relief mit einem mecklenburgischen Wappen voz 1588 und eine kräftige Rustika.(→ vgl. Schlossinsel Mirow / Das Torhaus) |
