English: To Frenchbridge Gill This view looks out from Race Hill plantation over to the pond in Frenchbridge Gill. In the immediate foreground, just the other side of the fence, stood the Rangers Lodge (OS 1879 map). There was also a bench mark here(264.8 feet); now gone.
Frenchbridge Gill runs into Hawkins pond (TQ218295); flows out as Golding's stream into Mill Pond and under Birchen bridge to become the River Arun reaching the sea at Littlehampton. |
