Summary[edit]

Description

Coast Guard cutter Tiger Shark, homeported in Newport, R.I., transits the East River near one of four man-made waterfalls at the Brooklyn Bridge in New York Harbor, N.Y. July 3, 2008. The Tiger Shark appeared in New York in preparation for the 4th of July celebrations. The waterfall art project, funded by New York's Public Art Fund, was created in hopes to attract 1.5 million more tourists to New York during the three months the project is in operation. The exhibit is to last from mid-July to mid-October.
