Description
English: Tidal force of the Moon on the Earth. The yellow arrows show the centripetal force caused by the rotation around a common center of mass. The red arrows show the gravitational force caused by the Moon. The sum of them gives the tidal force, schematically shown by the resulting tidal bulges.
