Description My first job after college in 1988 was as a reporter for the now-defunct City News Bureau of Chicago. Google it for more details, but it was a heck of a training ground for young journalists. Such simpler times even then: Until your press credentials came back from the Chicago Police Dept., a letter from CNB managing editor Paul Zimbrakos was all you needed to get access to any police scene and fire line. I even got into heavily guarded Michael Dukakis for president rally in Evanston with this letter.
