Test of water shut-off was approved after this test had been com-pleted. The well was then deepened to 2701 (into the second zone)and pumped from January 6 to February 15, 1917, averaging about10 barrels of oil per day. During this time trouble was experiencedwith heaving sand and considerable water had to be run in whencleaning out. The Avater condition of the well was not definitelydetermined, although the production reports show tliat the well aver-aged about 50 per cent water while pumping.
