Description
English: This is a screen shot from a film entitled "3rd Avenue El," showing a train on the Third Avenue Elevated line in the 1950s, prior to demolition of the line in 1955. The photograph appears to have been taken from the vicinity of Cooper Union at the Bowery. This film resides at the Internet Archive and is marked as a public domain film. The film does not contain a copyright label, so my guess is that this is why it is considered public domain by the Internet archive.
