Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Rasik Ray Temple, Haripur Garh, Mayurbhanj.
Now Haripur , which is 23 km away from Baripada town was once the capital of the Bhanj territory named as Harihar Pur established by Maharaja Harihara Bhanj around 1400 A.D. During the spread of Mughal rule in Odisha . It was Maharaja Baidyanath Bhanj to be the first scion to adopt baishnab faith in his dynasty. Swami Rasikananda Deb Goswami was his dikhsa guru. To show his devotion towards his dikhsa guru, Maharaja Baidyanath Bhanj constructed a magnificent burned brick built temple as Rasika Ray temple. From the grasp of time and destruction made by series of onslaughters there remains ruins which speaks volumes about the early growth and contributions made by the Bhanj kings to art, architectures and others.
On the backdrop of eternal Greenery the burned brick built Rasikray temple , which represents a Goudiya style of architecture , also rarest of the rare in Odisha, is undoubtedly a treat to soul. That calm quiet harmony in the environment soothes to the core. A temptation to get mesmerized for sure!
