Dr. Millburnchose for his scripture John 3:16.For his topic he picked the greatworshipers of God: Daniel, Shad-rack, Meshack, and Abednego.The speaker told us of Daniel andthree of his friends, Shadrack, Me-shack, and Abednego, who were verystrong worshipers of God. Danieland his three young friends werecaptured from their land of Judahand taken to Babylon to be thekings princes and presidents. Thefour young men were to be giventhe kings wine and meat to makethem strong and healthy so theycould spread his word to the Chal-deans. Daniel and his friends didnot want to drink and eat of thekings food because it would be asin, so they went to see the headcook of the kings palace and askedhim to let them eat pulse and drinkwater. The head cook was afraidto let them have their wish, butDaniel finally persuaded him to letthem to have the holy food.
