THE RED OAK ($uercus rubra) This tree is lusty and beautiful throughout. The pointed buds promise what summer fulfils. The broad leaves havetriangular lobes and sinuses. The lobes point forward more than outward. They are often 9 inches long and six inches broad.The second leaf shows the paler lining.
