TROLLEY MAN Ul- WAR men this being the entire crew of officers and men. The carwas designed to run slowly throucrh the street during a pro-cession with its crew marching in front, on both sides and inthe rear, while many of the officers would ritle ; then during along jump from town to town, officers and men would ridetogether. The boat, which is 37 feet long, was built on aconstruction car 26 feet long with 6-foot 6-iuch wheelbase, equipped with two 12-A, 30-horse-power Westinghousemotors. It was constructed of sheathing and timber, thewhole being covered with canvas painted and varnished.The hull was painted white, superstructure cream, iron workbronze, guns, and anchor chain black, sponsors, life boats andturrets white. It was lighted with twenty-five incandescentlamps. Red fire was used on many occasions in the smoke-stack which gave it a decideil martial appearance.
