During thiwinter there have been few issues or changes suggested, but thesewere importanl to some, if not all of us. A new vestibule lawwas proposed. Another bill that meant much to a number olroads in this state was the proposed Sunday closing law. Tothe companies that had baseball grounds, summer parks 0dens with music this meant much. This law was advocated as agreat moral issue. Summer Sunday amusement parks are one ofthe most potent factors in the promotion of temperance. Amuse-ment and the desire for intoxicating liquors do not go together.The police court records will bear out the statement that whereMonday was formerly the big day in their courts, since Sundayamusements have been in force, it is one of the small days of theweek SumtneT park- properly conducted, well policed, well lighted.

The American Street & Interurban Railway Association is agood thing, and all should be members of it, and it is one of thebig factors in the present street and interurban railway develop-ment and affairs, and can do much good, but it is so big that it isstartling to some of us in its immensity. Being operators of smallproperties, we encounter the propositions and problems that in-terest the large city companies and are lost in the big sea of pos-sibilities.
