Thecompany lost 60 grip cars, 72 open cars, 136 box carsand I platform work car, or a total of 269 cars, to whichshould be added 8 snow plows, i sweeper and i wagon.There were 109 horses quartered at this barn, of whichonly 27 were saved. About 40 or 50 cars were run outof the building after the fire started. Many were stored and some cars could be taken from the companys otherbarns. Huddersfield, England, has decided against the run-ning of street cars on Sunday on the ground that it woulddisturb the rest day of factory employes.
