The car, of course, is runthe same as passenger cars, by the overhead trolley sys-tem. There are also large headlights and several incan-candescent lamps inside. Fenders are also in use. Adriver and a messenger are in charge of each car. Allkinds of freight are carried, and special attention and pro-visions are made when the freight is of a destructibleand perishable kind. The express cars run entirelyseparate from the passenger cars and on a time schedulethat interferes in no vvaj or manner with the regularpassenger service. There are fifteen men employed inthe express department of the company. Cars areoperated from Albany and Troy each hour, one leavingeach place. There are two windows ona side and a 4-foot sliding door on each side for theadmission of freight and baggage. The running boardextends from end to end on each side. The car issheathed inside to top plate with tongued and groovedboards. The width of the car over sides is 7 feet 3inches. The car is mounted on Brill No. 13 independ-ent rigid motor truck.
