Text Appearing Before Image:
five ceiling lamps—all incandescent, furnish abundance of light. In the deck sash, a new styleglass, crushed ruby, presents a very fine appearance. The Cochrane trolley pbservation window, described else-where, is in each vestibule. is the slope from center to each end, and the grooving ofthe floor for drainage instead of nailing on wooden slats.Altogether the car is a handsome, attractive piece ofworkmanship and is the object of much admiration fromboth the railway managers and their patrons.
Text Appearing After Image:
LAMOKIN CAR COMPANY S PALACE VESTIBULE CAR. The trucks are the Robinson Machine Companys andas illustrated are so constructed as to afford a most uni-form and delightful cushion to the car. It is claimed forthem that a glass of water filled to the brim will not spilla drop when the car takes a curve. The electrical equipment is the Wightman sj-stem,which has given such good satisfaction in Altoona. andthe steps will be recognized as the well known, and widelyused Stanwood. The same style car was also deliveredto the Williamsport Passenger Railway, with Westing-house equipment, being the fourth order from that road. As will be seen in the illustration, the trucks are sobuilt as to permit ready access to the motors for inspec-tion or repairs. A new feature in the floor construction
