, for March, iQo.1, was opened Dec. 30, 1905. Onaccount of the physical location of this line and the direct connectionit makes with the other railroads of Ohio the beginning of its opera-tion is an event of especial importance. The new line is 31 miles in length and acts as the direct connect- joints are connected with Ohio Brass Co. 7-in. soldered bonds andfour-hole splice bars. The rails are cross-bonded with No. 0000copper bonds every 1,300 ft. and wires of the same capacity areused in bonding around switches and other special work. In the towns of Bluffton and Findlay are large stone quarrieswhich makes it possible to use crushed rock for dressing the roadat a low cost. Already more than one-half of the roadbed has beengiven its first dressing. The track is in good condition for a newline and it is believed a rapid schedule can be maintained over it.
