thefe marks are hard to be diftin-guifhed in a white horfe; though the vulgartake the fpots for figns of flupidity, it iscertain they are great figns of the goodnefsof a horfe, and the horfes that have them arevery fenfible and quick upon the fpur. DUN. See Colours of a Horse. DUN HOUND: thefe dogs are goodfor all chaces, and therefore of generalufe. The beft coloured are fuch as are dun onthe back, having their fore quarters tannd,or of the complexion of a hares legs : butif the hair on the back be black, and theirlegs freckled with red and black, they thenufually prove excellent hounds, and indeedthere are few of a dun colour to be foundbad : and the worft of them are liich wholelegs are of a whitilli colour.
