The Juniors felt the necessity of a. high class circus to tide over the longwait between the seasons of the regular troops so they put on a show all their own.After seeing the performance Ouija said tliat I\Ir. Barnum was groaning becausehe hadnt been able to secure this troupe in his day. The fat lady, snake charmer,mermaids, Siamese twins and IMadame Butterfly were the eighth wonders of theworld. The tumblers, dog troupe and elephant showed much training and skillThe Iron Test(?) far .surpassed anything ever shown along that line. Co-ed Prom—March 15. The Co-ed Prom is always a novel affair, and the disappearing ice cream,the two ousted visitors and the attic spectators added to rather than detractedfrom the novelty this year. The costumes of the masculine element of the crowdMere chiefly those of the army and navy, while the more feminine elementdressed up in order to celebrate the return of their heroes. We did have agood time. —62—

—«3— The Publications niie Montana Kaimin The Kaimin is the newspaper published by the students of the Universityand is financed by the Associated Students of the University of Montana. It ispublished twice each week, and its pages are filled with the news of the Universitycampus. It is a publication for the student body, and tells the news of the studentactivities and interests. The students are given an opportunity to express student opinion on allsubjects, while the work of editing the paper is assumed by the students of theschool of journalism, who are greatly assisted by Dean A. L. Stone, and ProfessorRalph D. Case) of the journalism facult.y. The editor of the Kaimin is electedannually at the student election in the spring. The Kaimin staff, which served during the year 1918-1919, was: Esther Jacobson, editor; Mary N. Farrell, business manager; George Scherck,managing editor; Seymour Gorsline, associate editor; Sadie Erickson, city ed-itor; Ellsworth C. Mosb.y, sport editor
