An impressive illustration of the advantage which the io CENTURY IN CARICATURE satirical poet has over the cartoonist lies in the fact thatsome of the cleverest political satire ever written, as well asthe best examples of the application of the animal fable topolitics, were produced in France at this very time in thefables of La Fontaine.
