south aisles were built about 1505, as appearsby the tables of benefactions. The west end of the church was rebuilt in 1523,d at the ex-pence of Archbishop Warham and John Fox, Archdeacon ofWinchester, whose arms remain over the west door, and inthe body of the church, over an arch on the south side, wherealso are the arms of several other prelates,6 The east end wasprobably rebuilt before the list of benefactors commenced. The east end of the north aisle is called HoicarcVs Chapel,having been built in 1522, by Thomas Howard, Duke ofNorfolk, many of whose family are here interred; that of thesouth aisle was built in the same year by Sir John Leigh, (sortof Ralph Leigh, Esq. Lord of the Manor of Stockwell) whowith his lady are here interred.
