Summary[edit]
DescriptionThe churchyard and Old Rectory at Teigh, Rutland-geograph-2155224-by-Stefan-Czapski.jpg |
English: The churchyard and Old Rectory at Teigh, Rutland. Seen in the slanting light of a July evening, the stonework of the rectory contrasting with a dark, moody sky. In the foreground, old slate tombstones - the slate probably quarried at Swithland near Loughborough. The rectory roof, on the other hand, seems to have a covering of 'Collyweston slates' - actually limestone, but split into slabs to serve as roofing. |
