Page 1 photograph "Warriors All" shows Franklin Fogg, C.B. Blethen and Harry Whitney Treat at the American Lake Practice Camp located at the present day site of Camp Lewis. Page 4 article "Who Should Serve" discusses the need for the camp in further detail.


Franklin Fogg of Tacoma (not sure which of several people by that name), Captain C.B. Blethen (at that time the new editor-in-chief of The Seattle Times), and Harry Whitney Treat (1865-1922, prominent Seattle businessman, mainly in real estate, also famous as a horseman) in Practice Camp at American Lake (soon to become site of Camp Lewis, now part of Joint Base Lewis-McChord).
