Doors are provided toclose the passage between the sets of coils and the fan whilesuch repairs are being made. The heated air is carried from the blower room througha concrete duct 4 ft. wide and 5 ft. deep which runs acrossthe back of the inspection shed. Before turning in be-tween tracks i and 2 it is tapped by two 3-ft. 6-in. ductsrunning between the other pairs of tracks and by a 12-in.vitrified tile duct dividing for a 6-in. outlet in the officeand an 8-in. outlet in the stockroom. The ducts runningbetween the sets of tracks are tapped at intervals of about26 ft. by 12-in. vitrified tile ducts connecting each pair ofpits. The heat is regulated by dampers set in the pit walls.
