THE PARKSThere are, in fact, two parks at thispoint, containing 45 acres—one for whitepieople and a smaller one of about 5 acresfor colored people. The two races arekept entirely separate. Both parks arewell wooded and are located on ratherhilly ground. The main attraction of thelarger park is a lake which contains 11acres.
