The Twin City company will make Big Island Park asaccessible to St. Paul as to Minneapolis, showing in this waythat Big Island Park is strictly a Twin City proposition in-tended for the enjoyment of St. Paul people as well as thoseof the nearer city of Minneapolis. During 1906, the first summer of the Twin City Serviceon Minnetonka, there were any number of private andpublic excursions and picnic parties that journeyed to thelake by electric cars and enjoyed the steamboat service.Heretofore the rates on Lake Minnetonka were almost pro-hibitive, the round trip of the lake being 50 cents, whereasthe Twin City company has cut the rate to 25 cents. Experts who have traveled the world over concede thatthe Twin City company has the most wonderful propositionthey have ever seen. It is not the intention to make BigIsland Park a noisy Coney Island, but a delightful place
