Suitable handles areprovided on the frame to facilitatethe operator in moving the ma-chine back and forth over the pointbeing ground. A rail wagon with several verynovel features has also beendesigned. The wagon is intendedfor hauling 60-ft. rails, and is de-signed especially to prevent un-STANDARD DOUBLE-TRUCK CLOSED CAR necessary lifting of rails in loading and unloading them. The wheelsare comparatively small in diameter and the bolsters extendout over and lieyond them. When rails are to be unloaded thebolster standards on one side are removed and skids slopingto the ground are fastened to the ends of the bolster. Thisdesign permits the rails to be unloaded by simply slidingthem off the end of the bolster.
