PARLOR LIMITED CAR OF FORT WAYNE & WABASH VALLEY RAILWAY, WHICH TOOK PARTY FROM LIMA AND POINTS IN NORTHEASTERN INDIANA TO THE MEETING next meeting. At this meeting also a number of matters ofgeneral operating practice which have recently been broughtup will be discussed. Newspaper reports in forecasting the Indianapolis meeting,stated that the Ohio electric roads were losing business asthe result of the recent enactment of a 2 cents per mile lawon the steam roads, and that at this meeting the advisabilityof reducing rates to i)/2 cents per mile would be considered bythe traction lines. This report had no foundation of truth.The question has not been considered either by the officersof the association or by any of the individual members. Aninformal investigation by the Street Railway Journalamong the Ohio members at this meeting indicates that thetraction lines will not suffer by this reduction in steam roadfares.
