TiIt 91 mm 1 kP m ⢠IdSttniyU JLBaLflBJV AkUb VESTIBULED SINGLE-TRUCK CAR FOR TOLEDO way use, the former consisting of 296 cells of fifty-one plateseach, and the latter of 264 cells of forty-one plates each. Anextension to the power house has been commenced which willhave an additional 125-ft. stack. When completed it will con-tain two 3000-kw steam turbines, direct connected to alter-nating generators; two 1000-kw rotary converters; one 1000-kvv motor-generator set, and four 700-hp boilers. Two sub-stations are soon to be built, in each of which will be installedtwo 500-kw rotary converters and accessories. When these ad-ditions are made, the capacity of the station will be 15,000 kw.The railway company has used cars built by the KuhlmanCompany for a number of years, and has also a considerablenumber of double-truck cars of the Brill semi-convertible type.The new cars are 20 ft. 8 ins. long over the bodies and 30 ft.1 in. over the vestibule sheathing; width over sills, 7 ft. 8y2
