The signalling system is that known as the Westinghouseelectro-pneumatic automatic, and is similar to that which isinstalled on the Metropolitan District Railway, which wasdescribed on page 417 of the Street Railway Journal forMarch 4, 1905. The system differs from that used in Bostonand New York, in that besides the two running rails there isa fourth or return rail and a negative signal main.
