The truck is designed for the nose suspension system ofmounting the motors, for which there are case-hardenedwearing plates upon the upper flanges of the transoms tocarry the motor lug. These wearing plates are held in placebv the loop bars passing over the motor lugs, the bolts ofwhich fasten both the loop and the hardened plate. Themotor and gear-case clearances are indicated in outline in theaccompanying drawings.
