Up to the present the electrical system hasnot yet been selected, but the contract for the elevatedstructure will soon be awarded. The other line is a subur-ban railway, connecting Ohlsdorf, Hamburg, Altona andBlankenese, belonging to the Prussian Government. Thisline is being equipped with the Winter-Eichberg system ofthe Allgemeine Elektricitats-Gesellschaft, and will be openedon Oct. 1, 1906. The power house contract was dividedamong Brown, Boveri & Co., Siemens-Schuckert Works andLahmeyer & Co. , The rolling stock of the Blankenese-Ohlsdorf line willconsist of 51 two-motor car units. That is, each unit willbe composed of two motor cars, each mounted on threeaxles, and permanently coupled together.
