One of the most conspicuous successes in the amusement fieldduring the past year was the White City opened last seasonin the South Side district of Chicago. Despite the fact thatthis park is located several miles away from the center of popu-lation and has no aquatic sports of any kind, its up-to-date at-tractions and splendid illumination led many Chicagoans ofthe distant North and West Side districts to go to the White SEMI-CONVERTIBLE CARS FOR THE MEMPHIS STREETRAILWAY COMPANY The John Stephenson Company, of Elizabeth, has deliveredto the Memphis Street Railway Company thirty-five double-truck cars of the semi-convertible type built under the Brillpatents and mounted on Brill No. 27 GE-i trucks.
